The WQData Online Datacenter has a number of advanced features designed for site administrators. These features enhance the quality of data found on the site and can provide a better overall experience for users. To access these features, the administrator must first login at www.wqdata.com. Online/Offline This feature enables a site administrator to designate a Monitoring Site as either “Online” or “Offline”. Occasionally it may be necessary to take a site offline due to maintenance requirements, calibration, or a simple change in the seasons. Once an administrator presses the “Offline” button, all user’s will know that the site has temporarily stopped posting new data. Data Quality An administrator has the ability to remove questionable data points from their online database. To erase data points from the online database, first login as an administrator and choose a Monitoring Site. Next, select “Data Table” from the “Output Format” drop-down menu. Check the data parameters you wish to display and click “Submit”.Your data will now be displayed in tabular format in the right side of your web browser. Please note that the rightmost column has a checkbox in each row and is headed by a “Trash Bin” icon. To prepare data for deletion, place a checkmark in the box for each row that contains suspect data. When you are ready to delete, click the “Trash Bin” icon located at the top of the column. Warning! Once data has been removed it cannot be recovered. Use this feature with care!
Administrators can also incorporate data smoothing and spike removal for a cleaner view of data. Data Displays Administrators can also select which parameters users can and cannot see. To do this simply place a check mark next to each parameter you wish to display, and leave blank all the parameters you do not with to display. All parameters are checked by default.
